Now he's found his way onto all-time fastest mile list with a converted time of 4:05.92, good for 8th-fastest ever in North Dakota history. Matt Bye thought his track career was over when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. Upon graduation from Concordia College, he enrolled in grad school at the University of Milwaukee. It didn't take long for Matt to get the competitive edge back, call up the Milwaukee coach, and take advantage of the NCAA's "COVID year" of extra eligibility.
